Automatic Checkin

HotList automatically checks you in to Facebook and Foursquare as you move around. It also keeps your location on Twitter up to date. Whenever you make a stop at a venue a service knows about, it checks you in (if your settings permit).

Unified Map

The unified

It also finds your friends on the services, tracking their checkins and placing them on its unified map. It also discovers nearby places that the services know about and includes them on the map. You can also put people and places from your contacts on the unified map.

Hotlists of People and Places

People can be ranked by

All the People and Places HotList knows about are available on lists that are ranked by your level of interest in them.

Things of Interest

Things of interest affect person and place rankings

A list of Things of interest to you tell HotList what topics you like or don’t like. These things are taken into account when HotList evaluates your level of interest in a person or place. For example, if you say you are interested in “pizza” and “delicious”, then places that mention pizza in their name or delicious in their Yelp reviews may be ranked more highly. If you say you do not like “school” then schools and people who recently tweeted about school may be ranked lower.

Other Changes

Brightkite support was dropped in version 2.1, as they have gone out of the checkin business.

Availability

Myallo HotList runs on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, and is available now on the App Store.
