Place Screen
This screen lets you see and adjust options for a particular Place.
Unlike a Person, a Place does not have a changing location. But the Current Hotness of a Place does change, based on the locations and Hotness of People near it, and its Relevance to Things.
For advice on setting Basic Hotness, touch this link. An easy way to snap the slider to a standard value is to touch one of the labels below it – Fire, Hot, Zero, Cold, or Ice, or one of the dots in between. It is not a good idea to set a Place, or anything, to the hottest level. That gives it no way to get hotter when other hot People or Places get near! For a good start, try setting places that are nice to 0%, places you really like to 25%, and the very hottest places to 50%. This gives a Place plenty of room to get hotter as People go to it.
A Place’s Basic Hotness doesn’t change unless you change it here on this screen. But its Current Hotness changes automatically, as Myallo HotList calculates it based on the Basic Hotness, your proximity to it and to other People, its relevance to Things, and other factors.
So, when you add a Place, its Basic Hotness starts at 0%, and its Current Hotness starts there too, but the Current Hotness will automatically move up or down based on Myallo HotList’s calculations. At any time, you can change Basic Hotness here. For example, you might set a place to 50% Basic Hotness. That becomes the new point around which its Current Hotness will be based.
If a Place’s hotness is in the negative Cold levels, it will drag down the Current Hotness of People as they approach it.

Sources of Information
Information on a place can come from several sources, such as your device’s Contacts list or the profiles it has on various External Services. The Sources of Information section shows where information can come from, and which ones are set up for the place.
When you initially add a place, you add it from a source such as your Contacts list. But you can add more sources of information here, by touching one of the Sources of Information that say “(not set up)”. For example, if the place is on Yelp and the Yelp item says “(not set up)”, touching it will show a screen where you can enter the ID for the place. From then on, Myallo HotList can call upon Yelp to get further information on the place, such as reviews written by Yelp members.
Once a place is associated with a source of information, “(not set up)” changes to the name of the place on that service, and touching the item will show a screen that displays the place’s listing on that service. For example, if you associate a Person with Yelp, touching it will visit the Internet and show the places listing.
Make sure you associate a place with its proper identifiers, or the Place can end up showing wrong information.
To disassociate a Place from a source of information that you have set up, swipe your finger left to right across the item with the “delete” gesture. A “Delete” button will appear, and touching it will not delete the Place, but will delete the association, changing it back to “(not set up)” status.
