Settings Screen
The Settings Screen contains some rarely changed options for Myallo HotList.
The Settings Screen is not in the Myallo HotList application. It is in the Settings application. To get to it, press the Home button, select the Settings application icon on the Home screen, then scroll down and select the HotList item.
Landscape
When ON, this setting allows Myallo HotList to use landscape mode. Most screens will rotate to whatever orientation your device is in. When OFF, all screens will stay in standard Portrait mode regardless of device orientation.
Detail Screen
When ON, you will be able to see a Details Screen. The Details Screen can be seen by touching the name of a Person, Place, or Thing being explained on the Explain Screen. The Details Screen shows information from the core data underlying Myallo HotList. It might be useful if you are tracking down an application issue, or if you are curious.
External Services
This section lists all the External Services that Myallo HotList uses. Normally, these are all ON. If you turn a service OFF, it disappears from Myallo HotList and is not used. You can turn it back on at any time.
The Nuclear Option
This is the “Delete Everything!” setting. Leave it OFF. This is only used in the case where you want to delete all the core data in the entire application and start from scratch. All the People, Places, Things, and information in the entire application will be deleted. You might use this if the core data became corrupted somehow, or if you entered a lot of data that you want to delete, for example you added all your Contacts and decided that it was too much and wanted to start completely over.
To use this option, turn the switch ON. The next time you start Myallo HotList, it will display an alert asking if you really want to delete everything and start from scratch. If you do, touch the Delete button. Myallo HotList will exit, but the next time you start it, all the data will be gone. If you decide not to delete everything after all, touch the Cancel button. Myallo HotList will exit but the next time you start it, all the data will remain. Either way, this setting will be turned back OFF automatically.
