“External Services” exist outside of the application. Myallo HotList communicates with them, depending on options, to report your own location and get location and other information on People and Places.

If you choose not to use an External Service at all, you can remove it from the Interface by turning it off in the Settings application. You can turn it on again at any time. Only Internet services can be turned off. You can’t turn off Contacts.
