Contacts
The “Contacts” Service refers to the Contacts list in your device. Myallo HotList communicates with it to get information on People and Places you have added to your lists.
A single Contact can represent a Person, a Place, or both.
If a Contact includes a First Name, Last Name, or both, it is considered to represent a Person. If it includes an Organization Name, it is considered to represent a Place.
When you select a Contact to be added via the People Options Screen, Myallo HotList checks to see if it has a First or Last Name. If it does not, it is not added because it does not represent a Person. Otherwise, it is added with the given name and photo, if any. If there is a “home” (or other non-”work” address) that is used as the Person’s initial location. The Note or Organization, if any, may be used as the initial Person status.
Similarly, when you select a Contact via the Places Options Screen, it is not added if it does not have an Organization. Otherwise, that is used as the name. The photo is also used, and if there is a “work” (or other non-”home” address) that is used as the location.
We suggest you don’t just add all your Contacts to the People or Places, without giving it some thought. You might end up wanting to delete a good number of them. For some advice about adding Contacts, touch this link.
