A Things Screen showing Interest levels

“Things” are topics of interest whose Relevance to People and Places affect their Current Hotness.

A Thing has a name, and an Interest level that you set.

Interest is expressed as a percentage, where 99% is extremely important, 0% is no interest at all, and -99% is extreme disinterest.

When Myallo HotList calculates the Current Hotness of a Person or Place, one of the things it may do is check each Thing on the Things Screen to see if any of the information it has on the Person or Place matches the Thing name. If it does, a Relevance to that Person or Place is calculated, and that Relevance enters in to the calculation of Current Hotness. The amount of Relevance depends on the number and position of matches. The Hotness calculation considers the Relevance and Interest level. A positive Interest raises Hotness, and a negative one lowers it.

The Explain Screen for a particular Person or Place shows any relevances to Things that were found during the calculation of the Person or Place’s Current Hotness.
