Airmote looked promising and became an immediate ‘project’ to get working. I buy aps to work- not to immediately have to get on forms, to begin contacting tech support etc. Once you follow your directions for Apple Leopard OS and set the VNR and a password -one never sees that ‘computer’ screen again. Anyway- i am still not getting Airmote to see my CPU MacPro 3.2.
Grrrrr.

I have the same problem. The list of contacts appear but crashes after selecting a contact. I’ve already turned off the iphone (rebooted) but still crashes.
I would like to have a solution as soon as posible before posting a negative comment on the app store.

Fred and I talked in EMail. I said: “Hmm, at that point the program hasn’t really done anything yet, that first panel that says loading, is literally a picture the phone displays before the app is itself loaded. The first thing the app does is call upon the system to show the “contact picker” which looks the same as when you touch the Contacts icon. It’s a list of all your contacts. It must be having problems displaying that list. Do you have loads of contacts (I guess loads would be over 500 or so, I have 450 on my testing phone.)

“I would try turning the phone off and on again to see if that clears out the system somewhat. To do that, hold down the sleep button on top of the phone for about five seconds until you see “Slide to power off”. Do that, then start up again with the sleep button again. With the system restarted, I hope that helps clear up things.”

Fred replied he cut his large contact list down to about 1800 people, which got the contacts to load, but it still crashed after picking a contact.

I bought EmailContact yesterday and can’t get it to work. When I tap on the app from the iPhone home screen, I immediately see a screen that says loading contacts. After about 45-60 seconds it goesw back to the home screen. I’ve tried a number of different combinations in the settings but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

Lepton,

Any thoughts on a bug fix for the sending email issue? I left a post in the forums. I purchased the software and love it. I actually bought two other similar programs and love yours the best… However, the app crashes when I have ‘email’ turned on under settings. Some things that might help:

1. I am syncing to an exchange server. Although i can’t see how that would affect any differences in the contact database… who knows! I would imagine activesync is just another hook or layer that interfaces with the iphone contact database.

2. I CAN leave the ‘email’ option on and sucessfully create an email for a contact WITHOUT an email address.

I would love to have that fixed! Be glad to collaborate/synergize/whatever to help out.

EmailContact does include custom labels. For example, if you have phone numbers for work, home, SMS (custom label) and factory (custom label), all will be included, unless you filter them out by setting it to send Home only or Work only. -Mike
